Chicken+and+Dressing+Recipe

Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Here is a recipe for you to try!

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (2 lb) skinned, deboned, and shredded (4 cups)
  • 6 cups of crumbled cornbread
  • 8 slices white bread, torn
  • 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cans of condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup of chopped onion
  • 3 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tsp ground sage
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter cut into pieces

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 F. Spray 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray
  2. In large bowl stir together all ingredients except butter. Put mixture into baking dish. Dot evenly with butter.
  3. Bake uncovered about 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown
