Real Care Pregnancy Profile Simulator

If you happen to see students walking around with a large belly hidden under their clothes, do not be alarmed. The Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, Kim Oswalt, had the idea to purchase a weighted Real Care Pregnancy Profile Simulator that allows both male and female students to experience many effects of the third trimester of pregnancy.

“I am excited about this simulator being added to Gary’s Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum,” said Kim Oswalt.

Only a few students have worn it so far, but everyone who is in the FCS class must wear the simulator for at least one class period.

“It gives you a real experience and helps you have sympathy for women who are far along in their pregnancy,” said FCS student, Amanda Knight.
